Bullet is a neo-naïve artist who was born in New York City to a Chinese father and American mother of Eastern European descent. Bullet was raised in Vermont and after college struggled internally between embarking on a traditional career or devoting his life to art. After a decade in New York City, Bullet decided to follow his heart and in 2000 moved to Budapest to focus exclusively on art. Bullet’s emphasis on the human figure, without the use of models, expressed his fundamental observations about the world around him. Working with bold colors and patterns, the pieces cause viewers not only to contemplate his work, but also to look inward and question their own role in modern society.
